Angry Birds has been insanely famous amongst Android users and recently Rovio Mobile released it for Nokia N8 (only). And now Symbian^3 users are infected with those 5 Angry Birds! Unfortunately older versions of Symbian viz. S60V3, S60V5 (Symbian^1) haven’t yet got this game to play with mainly because of Nokia’s hardware limitations (Angry Birds needs hardware acceleration). Disappointing indeed.However a developer with the name Novchik has managed to create a stripped down version of Angry Birds for “slower” versions of Symbian lowering the system requirements of original version of Angry Birds. The graphics have been modded to run smoothly on S60V5 (Symbian 9.4) devices and some tweaks have been made but it maintains the core game play. In total 45 levels of game play is there and is available for FREE!
Modded version of mobile game Angry Birds is compatible with Nokia N8, C7, Nokia E7, Nokia N97, Nokia C6 (01), Nokia X6, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, Nokia 5250, Nokia 5235, Nokia 5233, Nokia 5230 Nuron and Nokia 5228. If you have some other symbian based phone then you can try to run it since it’s a java installation (.jar) and the only problem that might crop up is that of screen resolution. Thought the compatibility is only with above mentioned mobile phones but any device having a processor of around 400 Mhz should be able to run it.
